Josh Riley Votes Against Cruel Cuts And Vile Voter Suppression

At the end of last week, Congressman Josh Riley voted against two rotten Republican bills:

• A congressional budget bill that would require the federal government to defund Medicaid, and SNAP, programs that help people who work full time but are paid low wages, that help pregnant women to give birth safely, that help severely disabled people obtain the care they need

• The SAVE Act, which would create new barriers to voting for women, for trans Americans, and for people who come from economically struggling families

Thank you, Congressman Riley, for voting against these two bills.

Josh Riley voted against Republican attacks against the right to vote, against Medicaid, and against food assistance for low wage workers.

Republicans in Congress passed these bills anyway, endangering democracy and sending the American economy toward an economic recession.
